Lahore: WWF - Pakistan organised a certificate distribution ceremony for the BSS Interns at
WWF - Pakistan Head Office on October 9 at 3:30 p.m. About 40 students along with their parents attended the ceremony. Amir Mehmood, Manager Publications and Individual Membership Programme from WWF - Pakistan gave a brief overview of the first ever Internship Programme that were initiated by WWF - Pakistan and Beaconhouse School System to the parents. The main objective of this internship programme was to increase the capacity building of the students for nature conservation. Later Afsa Babar, Head Career Guidance BSS took charge and expressed her views on the Internship Programme and her hope that such initiatives would serve as a means to raise awareness and realization among the youth and general public on nature conservation and environmental education.
WWF - Pakistan executives distributed certificates to the BSS Interns. Since the Internship Programme catered to 14 campuses of BSS, branches from outside Lahore were also included. Shields were presented to Farah Arshad, Regional Coordinator Career Guidance and College Placement Program BSS.
