Formal partnership with Agriculture Extension department for wide spread promotion of BMPs (Better Management Practices)
Capacity building of Agriculture Extension staff through training workshops.
Establishment of new and strengthening of existing Farmers' Organizations through capacity building with reference to the wide spread dissemination and subsequent adoption of BMPs (Better Management Practices).
Establishment of a District level Sustainable Agricultural Committee under the new decentralized local government system. This committee consists of representatives of Agriculture Extension, irrigation, farmers associations, financial institutions, Farmers' Organizations, research centers, business and industry and the farming community. The prime objective of this committee is to facilitate the uptake of BMPs (Better Management Practices) in the district.

This would involve the identification of financial requirements, potential opportunities for micro financing and provision of education/ guidance to the farmers regarding the best available credit options.
