The first ever-investigative survey for Snow Leopard pelts and body parts was conducted for TRAFFIC International. According to investigation the trade is on the rise and poses a big threat to Snow Leopard conservation.
Being a lucrative market for pelts and body parts of the Leopard, the trade flow is towards Afghanistan. The survey revealed that the loopholes in the legal system and law enforcement are the contributing factors to enhance trade in pelts of endangered Snow Leopard.
