The objectives of this report are:

• To compile existing data and information regarding types, status, habitat condition of wildlife, threats involved and existing initiatives for conservation by government, NGOs and communities.
• To compile existing data and information regarding types, species, extent and distribution, condition, tenure and rights and management of forests and rangelands including medicinal plants.
• To compile existing data and information regarding water resources of the region, demand for water resources, existing water use practices and water management, water management and water supply schemes by government, NGOs and CBOs.
• To compile existing data and information regarding climate change, i.e., discharge of water in rivers and streams, glacial retreats or advances, temperature and precipitation changes, vegetation changes and other indicators
• To identify gaps and missing data regarding the abovementioned sectors and recommendations for further collection of data/ information.
