Azad
Kashmir (AJK)
AJK, though rich in biodiversity,
has very few protected areas. WWF
has undertaken baseline surveys
of protected areas and has helped
prepare a management plan for the
Machiara National Park. In a continued
effort to improve the network in
AJK, WWF-P plans to conduct resource
inventories to identify additional
potential protected areas and to
work with the provincial government.
