Mountains in the Northern & NWFP Areas

In four conservancies of the Northern Areas and NWFP a project has been established to:
-empower, organise and boost the capacity of local communities to conserve biodiversity;
-promote sustainable use and create policy, legislative and financial frameworks for community based conservation.

WWF-Pakistan is responsible for the project's education related activities such as training teachers, incorporating environmental concepts in school curricula and raising the environmental awareness of religious leaders.
