Arif H Makhdum joined WWF - Pakistan in 2006, and is currently working as Director Sustainable Agriculture Programme (SAP). Arif started his carrier as research scientist with an international organisation with major focus on biological control and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) of high value crops. He has a Masters of Science in Entomology and has registered with Punjab University for a doctorate degree with research entitled ‘Integrated Pest Management of sugarcane borer Chilo Infuscatellus (Snellen) in Sindh to improve the livelihood of smallholders’. Arif has written 30 scientific research publications and has several articles in international journals. He ensures quality implementation of all the project activities under SAP.
Asad Imranjoined WWF - Pakistan in 2007. At present, he is working as Manager Sustainable Agriculture. After getting his M.Sc. Hons in Agricultural Economics, he worked in the government sector before leaving for the University of Reading, UK, for his second masters in Rural Social Development on the Chevening Scholarship. He has expertise in socio-economic research, participatory methods in rural development, planning, execution and monitoring of agricultural projects. His areas of professional interest are natural resource management, climate change and micro-finance for poverty alleviation and rural development.
joined WWF - Pakistan in March 2008. Currently she is working as Senior Programme Officer under Sustainable Agriculture Programme at WWF - Pakistan head office in Lahore. She holds a Masters degree in Environmental Sciences. She has been involved in writing technical progress reports of the project and articles for magazines, developing brochures, and coordinating workshops/seminars/meetings. She coordinates project activities between project stakeholders, different regional project offices and the head office; and is responsible for facilitating material requirement for smooth implementation of project activities. Her career interest includes environmental law and policy, clean development mechanism and climate change studies with respect to agriculture.
Abdul Rasheed Bhuttojoined WWF - Pakistan in 2006, and now works as Project Coordinator, PSCI, Bahawalpur. He started his career as an Agriculture Social Scientist at the Pakistan Agriculture Research Council. He has a Masters (Hons) degree in Agriculture Economics and has developed two training manuals on cotton for facilitators and farmers, besides developing several posters and pamphlets.

He has a Masters degree in Agricultural Sciences with specialization in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He has over twelve years experience in the development sector. His areas of interest include nature conservation, natural resource management and climate change.
Muhammad Abu Bakerjoined WWF - Pakistan in 2008. He is currently working as Project Coordinator, BCFTF, in Rahim Yar Khan. He is involved in project coordination, team building, and community mobilization and motivation under the Pakistan Sustainable Cotton Initiative. He has a Masters degree in Agriculture Economics and has over five years’ experience in the development sector, where he worked with national and international projects with respect to agriculture, rural development, education, health and environment.
Saeed Ahmed Dehojoined WWF - Pakistan in 2008 under IRDCP (Indus River Dolphin Conservation Project). He is currently working as Project Coordinator, BCFTF, in Sukkur. He is involved in field level implementation of Better Management Practices. He holds an M.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Applied Statics from Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam, Hyderabad. His areas of professional interest are farmers’ training, pest monitoring, natural resource management and finding innovative non-chemical options for plant protection.
Liaqat Ali Khanjoined WWF - Pakistan in March, 2008. Currently, he is working as Project Coordinator, BCFTF, in Sukkur. He has been involved in a number of farmers’ trainings and participatory social research activities. He holds Masters degrees in Sociology, Political Science, Pakistan Studies and English Literature. Currently, he is enrolled with the Department of Agriculture AIOU for MSc (Hons.) in Rural Development. He has over 18 years of professional experience and his areas of interest include socio-economic research in rural areas and farmers’ training through participatory approaches and natural resource management.
Rana Babar Ali
joined WWF - Pakistan in 2006. He is currently working as Project Coordinator PSCI in Lodhran .He has been involved in Monitoring planning, coordination, implementation and supervision of activities under the Pakistan Sustainable Cotton Initiative. He has a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Agricultural from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and seven years working experience in the development sector. His areas of interest include nature conservation, natural resource management and climate change.
Muhammad Asif Sajjad
Joined WWF – Pakistan in 2011. He is currently working as Project Coordinator SuPSI, in Jhang. Mr. Asif has five years multidimensional experience of research and development in various national and international organizations (i.e. PARC, PRSP, CABI). As an Expert Facilitator, he has two years experience in an integrated pest and crop management project on cotton and wheat crops. As a Research Associate, he has worked on biological control of aphids on wheat crop through intercropping of canola as predator source while in another project he experienced with resistance monitoring and insecticidal effects on Chrysoperla carnea (Neuroptera Chrysopidea). He is passionate to explore plant-pollinators interactions in ecological and evolutionary context as his PhD research.

Joined WWF – Pakistan in August 2009. He is currently working as a Senior Project Officer, SuPSI in Jhang. He did his M.Sc (Hons.) in Agriculture with specialization in Plant Pathology in 2008 from University of Agriculture Faisalabad. He has three years experience in development sector. His fields of interest are implantation, nature conservation, and reporting, technical backstopping and community mobilization within the project area.
Farhan Ahmad
joined WWF- Pakistan in November 2010. He is currently working as Project Officer SuPSI in Jhang. He did his Masters in Agri. Entomology from University of Agriculture Faisalabad. He is involved in planning, monitoring & implementation of field activities and conduction participatory research trials. His areas of professional interest are literature review with respect to agricultural research and development around the globe. He has four scientific research publications in national and international journals.
Farrakh Ameen
joined WWF- Pakistan in November 2011. He is currently working as Project Officer, SuPSI, in Jhang. He holds MSc. (Hons) degree in Soil Science from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He is a specialist on Soil Microbiology. He also worked as Research Fellow in a project entitled “Evaluation of Bioslurry as Nutrient Source” . He is involved in planning, monitoring & implementation of field activities and conduction of participatory research trials.
Joined WWF-Pakistan in June 2007. Currently she is working as Senior Admin & Finance Officer under Sustainable Agriculture Programme in Bahawalpur. She is MBA with specialization in Finance. She is coordinating the financial and administrative activities among project offices of SAP and the head office, Lahore. She assists in the supportive/administrative activities of project implementation in field work as well..
Hafiz Muhammad Asif
Joined WWF-Pakistan in 2008 and is currently working as Senior Project Officer PSCI, Bahawalpur. He holds a Masters degree in Agricultural Extension and Education. He has experience of a project” Analysis of the obstacles to gender mainstreaming in agricultural decision making and extension work in Punjab, Pakistan” conducted in three districts . His current job responsibilities include monitoring, quality assurance and reporting of the project activities for the production of better cotton.

Joined WWF-Pakistan in 2008 and is currently working as Senior Project officer at SAP office Bahawalpur. He holds a Masters degree in Agronomy. He completed his research on “effect of nitrogenous fertilizers on wheat crop” with the coordination of Pak Arab fertilizers limited. He has been writing for international journals with respect to his research. He is involved in monitoring, quality assurance and reporting of the project activities for the production of better cotton.
Ahmad Kamran Khan
Joined WWF - Pakistan in 2009. He is currently working as Senior Officer M&E. He started his career as Agricultural Officer in Govt sector with major focus on pest monitoring & quality control of pesticides. He has been involved in Training of farmers, monitoring, planning, coordination, field implementation of activities under the Pakistan Sustainable Cotton Initiative. He has a M.Sc (Hons) degree in Agricultural Entomology. His areas of interest include biodiversity & nature conservation, natural resource management and climate change.
Muhammad Masood Akhtarjoined WWF-Pakistan in 2008.Currently he is working as Senior Project Officer, in PSCI, Bahawalpur. He obtained his M.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degree with specialization in Agronomy and completed his research work entitled “Effect of Varying Levels of Nitrogen on Growth and yield performance of two new wheat cultivars”. He has nine years professional experience regarding, farmer trainings, training of trainers, agricultural research, planning, M&E, implementation of activities and team work management in both government and NGO sector.
Toheed Ghani Mahesar
Joined WWF - Pakistan in 2010. He is currently working as Monitoring Officer, BCFTF, in Sukkur. He is involved in implementation of Better Management Practices and BCI’s Production Principals & Criteria. He holds M. Sc (Hons) degree in Agriculture Entomology. He also has professional experience in Agri Banking. His areas of professional interest are farmers’ capacity building, pest monitoring, natural resource management and cotton supply chain improvement.
Inam ur Rehman
Joined WWF-Pakistan in 2010 and working as a Community Mobilizer in Bahawalpur. He holds M.Sc (Hons) degree in Agricultural Extension. He also worked as Research Fellow in a project entitled “Bridging the Gender Gap in Agricultural Extension through Designing & Testing as Innovative & Holistic Outreach (Extension) Program” of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He has three research based scientific publications in different national journals and also published three booklets. He is involved in the planning, monitoring, quality assurance, implementation and reporting of the project activities for the production of better cotton.
