WWF Young Ecologist Scholarship

The primary objective of the WWF Young Ecologist Scholarship is to promote young scientist to take up research project on to promote biological conservation in Pakistan. The WWF Young Ecologist Scholarship Programme provides financial support to deserving Postgraduate thesis research relating to environmental Sciences, ecology, conservation biology, Natural Resource Management and Species Conservation related to Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have Pakistani nationally with a maximum age of 28 year
• The Candidate must enrolled in full time postgraduate degree Programme at a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognised university
• The student will be required to publish at least one scientific paper in any HEC recognised journal in Pakistan or abroad
• The candidate must not be availing any other grant for the same research.
• The candidate must have a graduation in biological sciences or any of the major subjects, students with other subjects such as sociology/economics can also apply provided their research synopsis focuses on the aspects relating to environmental conservation

Scholarships are available for the following Programme as under:

For Master’s Research Programme

• Duration: 06 Months to 12 months
• Age limit: 28 years
• Grant maximum limit: PKR 60,000/-

For M.Phil and PhD Research

• Duration: max. 24 months
• Age limit: 28 years (maximum 32 years)
• Offered grant amount: PKR 80,000/-to Rs. 100,000/-

Funding Limits and Restrictions

• For Master’s level’s Programme an amount of up to PKR 60,000/- and for M.Phil and PhD research PKR 80,000/- to PKR 100,000/- are available.
• Funding will not be provided to cover the utilities, printing cost etc.
