White-backed Vulture Gyps bengalensis is one of the important species of vultures in Pakistan which is at the verge of extinction. In order to handle this situation on emergency basis, WWF-Pakistan launched the “Gyps Vulture Restoration Project” in 2004. The immediate project objective is to conserve a viable population of Gyps bengalensis in a safe and secure environment.
