WWF-Pakistan has been conducting a nation-wide environment spelling competition in schools for almost two decades under the nationally recognized name of Spellathon. The number of participants has increased from 25,000 students in 1996, to 1, 25,000 all across Pakistan. Hundreds of schools have been participating in Spellathon for the last many years and most of these schools have made Spellathon an essential part of their yearly activity calendar. The success of Spellathon is also associated with the valuable support from the corporate world which has been helpful in sponsoring the event to spread environmental awareness among Pakistanís youth. Spellathon sponsor for this year is Ding Dong Bubble. Ding Dong Bubble, a brand of Hilal Foods, is supporting Spellathon this year in various schools of 25 city of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad to support WWF-Pakistanís mission. During the partnership, from August 2016 to May 2017, Ding Dong will organize cricket matches in various schools around Pakistan, followed by a spelling test and gift distributions among the students of the partner schools.
