| WWF
- Pakistan established a TV Centre
(then Video Resource Centre - VRC)
in 1996 with the aim of raising
environmental awareness by providing
films to television networks and
the general public. The Centre provides
broadcast quality films on environmental
issues with the help of the International
Television Trust for the Environment
(TVE), a joint venture by WWF, the
United Nations Environment Programme
(UNEP), and Central Television -
UK
The TV Center maintains a lending
library of films on environment
and development, health and gender
issues. It not only provides well
produced international quality films,
but also produces documentaries,
Video News Releases (VNRs) and arranges
footage for local and international
broadcasters. The TV Center also
organises film festivals, exclusive
in-house screenings and dubbing
of films into Urdu. It also produces
programmes in collaboration with
various production houses for television
networks.
